To me it just adds to the feeling that Dixie had been abandoned from "active" participation by management and is simply in minimal maintenance mode. Consider the posting by Steve (I think)

Note this is from November of last year (Nov 16, 2008). They are apparently still debugging the board for four months and counting.

Don't get me wrong, my account is still working, I haven't had any serious issues, and I don't need any hand holding. No complaints, it's just that the family feel that Dixie had is gone and with no community participation it's now just another host.
